The CAL fuelscape consists of geospatial data layers representing surface fuel model, canopy base height, canopy bulk density, and topography characteristics (slope, aspect, elevation). The fuelscape was developed from LANDFIRE Remap 2016 30-m raster data and edited based on feedback from interagency fuels and fire staff across California. Additionally, the fuelscape was updated using RAVG, MTBS, and fire perimeter datasets where available to account for wildfire disturbances that occurred inclusively between 2017 and 2019. The fuelscape was also updated with FACTS/NFPORS/CalMAPPER treatments that occurred inclusively between 2017 and early 2020.

The purpose of the California All-Lands Wildfire Risk Assessment (CAL) for the USFS Pacific Southwest Region (R5) is to provide foundational information about...
California Aspect 30m
California", "Aspect"
Map Service
Data", "Service", "Map Service", "ArcGIS Server"
[ [ -124.627809651376, 31.7833773616442 ], [ -112.592239972665, 42.7055631614633 ]
E308
WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere
Primary data contact: Patrick Doyle (USFS) patrick.doyle@usda.gov

This dataset was developed for the Pacific Southwest Region of the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) by Pyrologix LLC (www.pyrologix.com).
